SAFETY

What should I consider when selecting a caregiver in this COVID-19 environment?

We understand COVID-19 is a major cause of concern for families who consider hiring a caregiver. It is our utmost priority to provide you and the listed caregivers with information about how everyone can stay as safe as possible during the pandemic. All customers and listed caregivers that subscribe to All For One Cares communications will receive informative content on best practices during COVID and other pertinent topics.

Does All For One Cares pre-screen the caregivers?

Yes, we want to do our part to keep the diabetes community safe. Therefore, All For One Cares conducts a background check and on occasion will selectively perform reference checks. We recommend you perform additional screening activities to supplement our efforts to keep you and your family safe and make an informed hiring decision.

Can caregivers administer insulin?

Yes.  For safety reasons, we recommend you understand the experience level of any caregiver you are considering for hire. For insulin administration we suggest, a Level 3 Caregiver that will have the highest level of experience with diabetes care.

Will caregivers give Glucagon in the event of an emergency?

We recommend you speak with the diabetes caregiver to understand their level of comfort and ability to administer Glucagon in the event of an emergency.

What is the purpose of the document upload section in the customer profile?

This is to verify at least one client has a form of diabetes to book a diabetes caregiver on allforonecares.com. The document uploaded can be a Patient Visit Summary, diabetes medication receipt, or other document, with the client’s name displayed. Sensitive information can be blacked out. Document uploaded will only be viewed by the AFOC Team for verification purposes.  

SERVICE PAYMENT

What are All For One Cares payment options?

You can can use one of the following payment methods:

  • Your bank account
  • Your Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express card
  • If you have a Paypal Cash or PayPal Cash Plus Account, you can also use your balance

When is payment due for caregiver services?

After accepting your booking request, the diabetes caregiver will inform you of their payment preference.

How much does it cost to book a caregiver on All For One Cares?

We offer a Free Basic Plan and a Premium Plan with monthly, quarterly and annual pricing for access to a pool of knowledgeable and compassionate diabetes caregivers ready to help you.

Does the diabetes caregiver service qualify as a medical expense?

We are happy to share that services from a diabetes caregiver is an eligible expense for tax favored health plans offered by employers, such as Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) , Health Savings Account (HSA), or Health Reimbursement Account (HRA). For reimbursement of services, all that is needed is a copy of the caregiver provided receipt, an itemized list of services performed with the dates of service, and the name of the client receiving the care.

CAREGIVER SERVICES

Will I have to advise the Caregivers on how to care for my family member?

Yes, you may request the caregiver contact you prior to service to explain the needs of your loved on and their diabetes management protocol. The caregiver may also request you complete an informational form prior to the beginning of services.

What is Diabetes Equipment Support?

Diabetes Caregivers provide infusion site care for certain continuous glucose monitoring sensors and insulin pump systems. If they are available to travel when needed, they can assist your loved one with a site change.

GENERAL QUESTIONS

How do you verify the qualifications of a Caregiver?

The All For One Cares team carefully reviews the relevant experience history and the results of the Diabetes Care Assessment. The Diabetes Assessment was reviewed by both a licensed professional that specializes in Pediatric Endocrinology and a Certified Diabetes Educator.

What if the caregiver is late or does not show up?

We hope you never experience an issue with the service provided by your diabetes caregiver. Should there be an issue and you are unable to resolve with the caregiver directly, contact us at support@allforonecares. We care deeply about the All For One Cares vision and want to be aware of any situation when the services provided do not align with our values.

How do I know what special needs experience a caregiver has?

Each caregiver has the option to provide additional information regarding their experience in their profile. If special needs experience is not specified, you will also have an opportunity to request the caregiver contact you to better understand their background and experience.

Is there a limit to how many people a Caregiver will provide services for?

Each caregiver will review the details of your request for service and inform you of any restrictions that may apply.  For the safety and well-being of your loved, please ensure the experience level of the caregiver meets your needs.

Am I required to pay taxes or register as an employer?

Though you are not a business employer, if you pay each independent contractor ( i.e., caregiver) more than $2,200 per year, you may have some tax responsibilities. You should get guidance from your tax accountant about your state and federal laws to understand your tax obligations.

How do I request assistance if All For One Cares does not list caregivers in my city?

If you do not see caregivers available in your local area, we encourage you to complete a Contact Us form and submit a request for caregivers in your local area. We will do our best to find caregivers in your area.
